The Kempinski Hotel & Congress Centre "Rotes Ross" offers a total of 89 rooms and suites on 5 floors, 2 of which are non-smoker floors. All rooms are equipped with telephone, television with cable- and pay TV, a room safe and a mini-bar. Wireless-Lan is available from first to third floors. In our bathrooms you will find a hairdryer and separate backlit vanity mirror.

In 2002 with its new restaurant "Kleines Ross", the traditional "Rote Ross" on Leipziger Strasse has once again become one of the top culinary addresses in Halle. The walk from the Leipziger Strasse through the Kempinski Hotel lobby leads you past the reception desk and the fascinating underwater world of the 2,500 litre seawater aquarium.
Travelling by car you will arrive via the K & K multi-storey car park via level P1 from Franckestrasse 1. Both ways will lead you directly into the Kempinski hotel lobby, Halle's largest living room with a real fireplace, library, conservatory and summer terrace.

With a rich history in salt works and as a town of trade, the city of Halle has been characterized by appreciators as a virtual open-air museum and can best be experienced per guided sightseeing tour or with a tour in one of the historical trolley cars. Underway, the visitor is exposed to, for example, the Frankish foundations, the Moritz castle, the castle of Giebichenstein and the town square which is bordered by five towers. In addition to these impressive optical sights, George Frideric Handel's native town also offers acoustic pleasures to be endulged. Every year, the entire city spends two weeks in June celebrating the grand musical display known as the Handel festival. Additional highlights include the festival of lights and the salt works festival, each luring thousands of visitors every year with various concerts, the traditional fisherman's poach, and the famous "Bootskorso" into the city of Saale, where hundreds of lantern lit boats sail through the summer night.
