You will find interesting sights within a 3-km radius of the hotel. The Old Town Hall, a charming old building which now functions as a museum and tourist information office, is definitely worth seeing. âThe most-kissed girl in the worldâ stands in front of the building, The smiling statue of the GĂ€nseliesel, part of the fountain on the market place, enjoys the tradition of being kissed by every post-graduate student who gains his doctorate. The Old Botanical Gardens boast more than 10,000 species of hardy and tropical plants. The altar inside the St. Jacobi Church is a Gothic masterpiece dating from 1402.
From Göttingenâs central station (2.2 km), you can reach the hotel by taxi in about 10 minutes for a moderate fee. If you are travelling by car, exit the A7 motorway at Göttingen/Dransfeld and continue towards the city centre on the Kasseler LandstraĂe. After 1.5 km, you will see the hotel on the right-hand side.
