The peaceful countryside promises truly relaxing holidays. Sleepy villages, old castles, mills and romantic valleys await hikers and cyclists.
Well-marked hiking routes lead you past old mills, castles and deep ravines. The wild, romantic Erbachklamm and Baybachtal valleys are particularly tempting. The 38-km Schinderhannes bicycle trail skirting the former tracks of the Hunsrück railway is of particular interest. You can also rent a bicycle in the vicinity.

From the central Hunsrück, the journey continues to the romantic Rhine valley stretching between Bingen and Koblenz and the Loreley valley, one of Europe’s most magnificent landscapes featuring more than 20 hilltop castles.
From here, you can explore the Moselle river area whose personality bears the imprint of its 2,000-year history.
The towns of Kastellaun (approximately 5 km) and Simmern (approximately 14 km) invite you to stroll through the charming streets and squares. Go swimming, visit museums or discover the historic castle. In Simmern, you can will enjoy your new home along the Schinderhannes trail.

Alterkülz is situated 22 km from the airport of Frankfurt/Hahn. From the airport, drive onto the B 50 for Lautzenhausen. Continue on the B50 until you reach the Simmern exit. Drive onto the L 108 for Kastellaun. After approximately 12 km, you will find the guest house in the town centre at Hauptstraße 39.

If you wish to book an airport shuttle to or from the guest house for a moderate additional fee, kindly send the management an e-mail in advance.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wired internet is available in the business centre and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast is not included and costs EUR 5.00 per person.

Parking: Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed).
