Base Sydney is probably Sydney's most centrally located budget accommodation. It is 2 minutes’ walk from the famous Darling Harbour, home to the best cafes, bars and the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
Transport to Bondi Beach, the SCG and Telstra Stadium is just across the street at Town Hall Station. The historic Rocks precinct, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House are only slightly further.
The Scary Canary is Base Sydney’s local watering hole where backpackers and locals meet. With a cheap and good quality lunch menu available by day, and the bar boasting the best drink specials, DJs and events by night.

Getting to the hostel isn't a hassle, you have a range of options depending on your budget. The cheapest option will be an Airport Connect bus for AUD 14.00, you can arrange for your pick-up outside either terminal - just give us a call once you have collected your luggage and we will show you where to go. Shuttle bus will take roughly 40 minutes to an hour depending on traffice.
The next (and fastest) option will be by City Rail train for AUD 15.00 one way, just let the ticket clerk know that you want to go to Town Hall Station and they can provide the necessary information on where to change platforms etc.
Obviously the most expensive option will be by taxi - setting you back anywhere between AUD 25.00 up to AUD 75.00, again, this all depends on traffic and your arrival/departure time so be careful...

Travel's Most Endangered Places
India, Central America, Oceania, Canada, Chamonix-mont-blancIsn't it ironic that as it gets easier to travel around the world, there are fewer amazing things to see. The earth's most revered marvels are increasingly falling victim to overcrowding, global warming, and untrammeled development. Of course, the rush to see those disappearing treasures means—ironically, again—that they become even further endangered. More...
