The town has played an important role in the turbulent history of France; for nearly 15 centuries the town was a fortress, until the last century, when most of the 1,465 metre fortified wall and castle, thought to have been built by Richard the Lionheart, were demolished to make way for expansion in more peaceful times.

Late Arrivals: Guests must arrive at the hotel by 23:00. Your room cannot be guaranteed after this time. If you cant change your time of arrival, please contact the hotel prior to 23:00 (local time).
