   On the Dorset/Wiltshire border, within easy reach of Salisbury, this charming, 16th century, Grade II-listed country inn combines warm, friendly bars and restaurants with en suite accommodation.The Grove Arms is a delightful country inn within easy reach of Stonehenge and the Jurassic Coast. A full cooked English breakfast is included in the price. Evening meals are cooked by the inn’s award-winning chefs and guests can also enjoy snacks, meals and local cask ales from Blandford in the Below Decks Bar. The Grove Arms is situated beside the A30 in the village of Ludwell, only 2 miles (3.2 km) from the historic town of Shaftesbury in the west and just 17 miles (30 km) from the cathedral city of Salisbury in the east. The inn’s peaceful and yet convenient location, makes it a great base from which to explore the surrounding area’s natural beauty, either by foot, bicycle, motorbike or motor car. |

The residents’ lobby is located on the inn’s first floor, which is available for those guests wishing to make tea or coffee; have a quiet read; play board games; or watch television together. The lobby is often used by guests attending weddings, who arrive early and need to gather together with a snack before leaving. Hairdryers, an iron and ironing board, shoe polish and even cuff links are available, please ask at the bar for these items. Photos:
The accommodation at the Grove Arms consists of 6 charming rooms, all of which have been recently refurbished. Warm and comfortable, the rooms are ideal for an overnight stay or for a weekend break exploring the local area.
The restaurant serves impressive home-made food in a warm welcoming environment. All of the dishes are freshly cooked to order and the menu features both traditional and contemporary dishes. The menus change daily to reflect the finest, freshest produce available locally. All of the food is sourced from within 30 miles of the Grove Arms. There are 3 dining areas: the Crest Room, seating up to 55, the Jazz Room, which is ideal for parties of up to 20 people and the Below Decks, which offers a quiet area for drinking, eating and chatting. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged GBP 20.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
