Hood restaurants, you'll find the finest cuisine southeast of Portland. Seasonal foods, such as wild game and salmon, Mt. Hood huckleberries, forest mushrooms and fresh local herbs and fruits make for restaurant and event specialties that delight the palette. * The Highlands Restaurant is The Resort's casual three-meal-a-day dining option features oversized picture windows and a patio overlooking its forested courtyard and outdoor pool. It is open Sunday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM and Friday and Saturday 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM.

* The Balmoral Bar is a relaxing escape and may be found adjacent to The Highlands Restaurant. For the wine and whisky enthusiast, the Balmoral offers an extensive selection of single malt scotches and northwest area wines.

* The Tartan's Pub & Steakhouse, open May through late October, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week in a traditional steakhouse environment. Two cozy fireplaces and exceptional views of the Three Nines golf course, the Salmon River Valley and the Mt. Hood National Forest await diners.

Situated in the Cascade Volcanic Arc in northern Oregon about 50 miles east-southeast of the city of Portland on the border between Clackamas and Hood River counties, Mount Hood's snow-covered peak rises 11,249 feet and is home to twelve glaciers. It is the highest mountain in Oregon and the fourth-highest in the Cascade Range.

Mt. Hood boasts spectacular natural scenery and ample opportunity for outdoor recreation. It is stunningly picturesque during all seasons and offers uniquely different things to see and do by season.

From NE Airport Way, merge onto I-205 South/Veteran's Memorial Highway toward I-84 (Portland/Salem).
Merge onto I-84 East/U S - 30 East via Exit 22 toward The Dalles.
Take the 238th Drive exit (Exit 16) toward Wood Village.
Turn right onto NE 238th Drive.
NE 238th Drive becomes NE 242nd Drive.
NE 242nd Drive becomes NE 242nd Avenue.
Turn slight left onto NE Burnside Road.
NE Burnside Road becomes SE Burnside Street.
SE Burnside Street becomes US - 26 East/Mt. Hood Highway.
