What makes the White Horse Inn special and unique is the location

Weissen Rössl comfort: Something that we no longer need to mention, as it is a matter of course, and all of our rooms are equipped with all common facilities which include satellite TV (34 channels in 4 languages).

The lakeside restaurant serves Austrian specialities and sweets, including the famous Salzburger Nockerln, and is open the entire day (in winter until 06:00). Restaurant Romantic, known for its special ambience, opens at 18:30 and offers fine cuisine and exclusive Austrian wines. Both restaurants feature a scenic view of Lake Wolfgang.

Lake Wolfgang:
It is considered to be the most scenic lake in the Salzkammergut, framed
by true mountain personalities. The quality is outstanding and
drincable. 13.5 km² large and up to 114m deep, Lake Wolfgang has a
catchment area of more than 125km². Together with the Mondsee lake, it
is the warmest bathing lake in the Salzkammergut (up to 26°C) and
freezes shut in front of St. Wolfgang during the cold winter. It really
is an experience to glide over the wide ice surface of the lake on
skates.

By car:
Coming from the East or North...

...leave the A1 motorway (the Westautobahn) at Regau and drive on the B145 to Gmunden and along the banks of the Lake Traun to Bad Ischl. From there follow the signs to Salzburg and St. Wolfgang on the B158 through the Kaiserpark Tunnel to Strobl, where you turn off right to St. Wolfgang.

You will soon see the lake and as your hotel guest you are allowed to drive past the tunnel and continue straight ahead into the pedestrian zone. In the village turn left in front of the curch to the market sqaure and then you arrive at the Wite Horse Inn through the portal. - Welcome!

...cross the Pötschen Pass on the B145 and continue on to Bad Ischl and then drive through the Kaiserpark Tunnel on the B 158 in direction St. Wolfgang.

Coming from the West...

...leave the A1 motorway (the Westautobahn) at Thalgau and take the L 117 to Hof where you turn left on the B 158 in direction to Lake Wolfgang. You will reach the Lake Wolfgang at St. Gilgen and continue to Strobl where you turn off to St. Wolfgang.

By train:
Your express train will arrive at Salzburg main station where our hotel taxi will pick you up as ordered before.

If you come from the East, change trains at Attnang-Puchheim and take the regional train to Bad Ischl.

When coming from direction Graz, change train at Stainach-Irdning and take the regional train to Bad Ischl.

There is also a reasonably priced scheduled bus service from Salzburg and Bad Ischl via Strobl to St. Wolfgang.

Our main airport is Salzburg (62km), where we are happy to pick you up at the arrival hall.

The international airports Munich (250km) and Vienna (320km) are also within the reach of our limousine.
