   The Vacancier Motel is located in Baie-Sainte-Catherine, a small village at the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord, not far from Tadoussac. Baie-Sainte-Catherine is a source of wonderment and adventure, as well as being the verdant doorway to the Charlevoix region and the departure point for whale-watching cruises.The Vacancier Motel combines the comfort of a hotel with the come-and-go style of active holiday-goers. As we are well aware of just how exciting a whale-watching cruise can be and that it will most likely be the highlight of your stay in Charlevoix, we do our best to ensure the call of the sea beckons as soon as you set foot in the door. Before you know it, mateys, you’ll find your sea legs! Photos:
You can stay in either a room or a cottage at the Vacancier Motel in Baie-Sainte-Catherine, which overlooks the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord. More relaxed environment than in a hotel. Photos:
At the Vacancier Motel, we take your vacation to heart, which is why we have a restaurant with a terrace affording a superb view of the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord. The Vacancier restaurant has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere to make your meal more enjoyable. Come by for a hearty breakfast before your whale-watching cruise, light lunch on the terrace or delicious supper served in our dining room. The motel is located at the crossroads of the Charlevoix, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean and North Shore regions. It is 2½ hours from Quebec City, 1¼ hours from the Casino de Charlevoix and only 15 minutes from Tadoussac — the time it takes for the ferry to take you across the Fjord (the ferry is free, by the way!). Tadoussac has so much to offer, such as beautiful natural sites, golfing, a bustling community and many recreational activities. You can also travel up the Saguenay Fjord to admire absolutely stunning scenery and some of the most picturesque villages in Quebec. Photos:

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 17 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. One older child or adult is charged CAD 20.00 per night when using existing bedding. One older child or adult is charged CAD 20.00 per night in an extra bed. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: 15.5 % Tax is not included. Service charge is included.
