Hotel informationTop
Once the main residence of the Dolserau Estate, the hall is surrounded by farm meadows bordering the River Wnion. Beyond this are fields, forests and mountains. Superb views in all directions can be enjoyed in all seasons.

Today, Dolserau Hall offers the space and elegance of a Victorian residence, whilst providing the warmth, comfort and facilities of a country house hotel, including lift access to some bedrooms. The hotel’s secluded location ensures peace and quiet, but it is conveniently situated for getting out and about to enjoy the surrounding area.

Resident owners run the hotel, with a small but loyal team providing for all the needs of guests. Large groups, small children, weddings or conferences are not catered for, so as not to spoil the peaceful and idyllic atmosphere of the hotel.

Dolserau has a magical feel in the winter months, and special programmes for Christmas and New Year are always popular.

Comfort is a real priority. Each room is furnished and fitted to the same high standard with good quality beds, top-of-the-range pillows, Egyptian cotton linen, fluffy bath sheets, and high quality Molton Brown toiletries and bath products. There is a fridge on every floor for storing your soft drinks, water and fruit. Fresh milk is provided.

Hot choices include porridge, a traditional full cooked breakfast and various fish options, as well as a hot vegetarian choice. Whatever you have planned, the generous and tasty breakfast is a great way to start your day

Recently completely refurbished in gold and red, the Winter Garden Restaurant is a lovely place to have dinner in the evening, overlooking the meadows and mountains. The restaurant offers a 4-course menu, which changes every evening, with dinner available at a fixed price. The Winter Garden Restaurant has received an AA Rosette for the outstanding preparation of its food and the good quality of the ingredients it uses.

Area informationTop
Dolgellau is the nearest town, situated about 2 miles from the hotel. You can reach it on foot along the old railway track. A 5-minute drive will get you to the main car park in town.

A stone town within the Snowdonia National Park, it rests beneath the Cader Idris range of mountains in the Arran Valley. Once the parliamentary town of Owain Glyndwr and the principal centre of the Meirionnydd wool trade, it remains a busy market town and the home of an important trading centre for Welsh mountain sheep and Welsh Black cattle. Livestock markets are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays throughout the year. A small domestic market is held in the Marian car park on Friday mornings. The bi-annual fair is held around the 20 April and September.
