Sofia's complex consists of 4 separate buildings set between its gardens and swimming pool with 50 rooms which have all got their own balconies. The establishment also features a sports and entertainment bar as well as a supermarket. Sofia's is a family run business. The hotel was established back in 1986 with its first 20 studios. Over the years the complex gradually grew and now has 50 self catering rooms. In 1998 Sofia's Hotel began a one-stage renovation program on the entire complex. The renovation was firstly to renovate the existing rooms into a more modernised style, but at the same time to construct an extra 20 new rooms. Photos:
By Ship (via Athens): From Kyllini - Zakynthos: Zakynthos connects to the port of Kyllini which is located on the mainland of Greece (Peloponnese). There are frequently scheduled crossings all year around, with even more crossings during the summer period. The distance of 18 nautical miles between the two ports is covered in approximately one hour. From Zakynthos - Cephalonia: There are connections to Cephalonia via a small ferry that runs from the port of St Nicholas which is situated at the north part of Zakynthos to the port of Pesada which is situated on the South part of Cephalonia. The distance between Zakynthos and Cephalonia is 8 nautical miles and this ferry crossing only runs during the summer season (May to October). Photos:
