IIgoumenitsa, the capital of Thesprotia’s Prefecture, is a picturesque town of 15.000 habitants. The port of Igoumenitsa – also known as “Gate of the Greece to Europe” - lies amongst a beautiful landscape at the Ionian Sea.
Due to its connection with other ports like Paxos, Corfu, Patras but also Bari, Brindisi, Venice, Ancona and Trieste in Italy Igoumenitsa is one of the most important ports in Greece.
Nearby airports are Corfu, Ioanina and Preveza (Aktio).

The European city offers its visitors on one hand modern features but keeps at the same time its beautiful local tradition. You can visit bars, night clubs and traditional taverns or enjoy a delicious dinner in a restaurant.

Cultural events take place all year round and if you want to get to know more about this region there are many interesting sights, such as Filiates, Sagiada, Paramithia, Sivota, Perdika and the Rivers Kalamas & Aherondas. You can also visit several archeological sites, like the famous Nekromantio, the Ancient Gitani and the Elea’s Castle. The Museums of Finiki, Tsamanta, Neochori & Perdika are also worth a visit.

All children from 6 to 12 years are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.
All older children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
