The exclusive Thalgo range is used as the cornerstone for all treatments for face and body. Known as the Eden of the southern coast of South Africa, Wilderness is set between the Kaaimans River and the Goukama Nature Reserve, at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains. Renowned for its tranquil sea and beaches, Wilderness is also surrounded by many rivers and natural lakes and lagoons, making it a great destination for water-sports. Wilderness is home to many types of wildlife, in particular birds, making it ideal for bird-watchers. Other local activities include dolphin and whale-watching, hang-gliding, paragliding, horse-riding, mountain-biking, hiking, scenic drives, angling, boating and other water-sports. The small village also has a newly built shopping area designed around the existing milkwood forest. This provides restaurants, shops and a lively Friday night craft market. By Car: From Cape Town International Airport: - Follow the N2 to Wilderness, following signs for George (480 km) - Pass by George on the N2. - Pass through the small village of Wilderness on the N2. - Look out for Caltex petrol/gas station on your right; 1 km beyond Caltex, turn left into North Street. - Turn immediately right at the T-junction to continue on North Street. - The Lodge on the Lake is No. 746 North Street. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 50 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 28 days before date of arrival, 75 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room. Deposit Policy: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
