The Hotel Stefanihof is the ideal starting point for trips to the Festival City of Salzburg and the lovely spa town of Bad Ischl. Or if you simply wish to relax, then Fuschl’s new “Fuschlseebad” Beach and Sports Club is the ideal place to do just that. Entry to the club is free for hotel guests.

In winter you and your family will enjoy the benefits of the nearby ski area of Gaissau Hintersee, and in summer the lake and the beautiful surrounding countryside boast a whole host of free leisure activities, with walks and hikes through breathtaking countryside to suit every level of fitness.

We have been running the hotel since 1992 and over the years we have been able to find out just what families are looking for. That’s why you will find that so many services and extras are included in our family offers. However, this typically Austrian hotel is not only ideal for holidays. Seminars and training courses can also be held here, and we are always on hand to make sure that your event is a success. Our great home-style cooking makes your stay even more enjoyable. Our restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes from fresh Lake Fuschl char to typical Austrian desserts such as chunky chopped pancakes (Kaiserschmarren).

The cosy Austrian restaurant, our elegant no-smoking dining room, the inviting dining area with its warming open fire and the shaded beer garden ensure that, no matter what time of year, you can choose where to eat. A meal at the Stefanihof is always a delight.

Don’t miss out on the chance to wine and dine at the Stefanihof in Fuschl am See. Our low-calorie, healthy salads are lovingly prepared and add an additional facet to our delicious meals. Fish, vegetarian dishes or hearty roast pork and dumplings, Schnitzel with French fries, ice creams and Strudels - we have it all!

Our restaurant is open daily from 11:30 to 21:30. Our traditional spare-rib evening with live music is particularly popular among locals and holiday guests alike and takes place every Thursday. The Stefanihof is also the perfect place for a tasty ploughman’s lunch and a glass of homemade cider or schnapps after the invigorating 12-km walk around the lake.

The holiday village of Fuschl am See lies at 670 metres above sea level and has a population of around 1,300. This idyllic village is the connecting link between the province of Salzburg and the Salzkammergut Lake District. It is just 20 km from the Mozart City of Salzburg and about 30 km from the charming spa town of Bad Ischl.

Fuschl am See offers a wide range of leisure activities and cultural sights in both summer and winter. If you enjoy exploring your holiday region under your own steam, then Fuschl is the ideal starting point. The local buses run regularly and stop right outside the hotel. The lakeside promenade is just a short stroll from the hotel offering a spectacular view across the entire lake and of the surrounding mountain panorama: Enjoy the magnificent sunsets from your balcony.

The lake covers an area of 267 hectares and is nestled between the two villages of Hof bei Salzburg and Fuschl am See. At its deepest point the lake boasts a depth of 70 metres. The water is fantastically clean, crystal clear and boasts drinking water quality. The 11 km of shores surrounding the lake are unspoilt and for the most part have been left in their natural state.

Numerous public beaches and secluded bays, ideal for swimming, are dotted around the lake so if you do decide to walk round the lake, don’t forget your swimsuit! In addition to hiking and cycling you can also relax by hiring a boat or with a few tranquil hours of fishing.

Gliding almost silently across the lake in the electric-powered, traditional wooden boats is an absolute must and is a highlight for young and old alike. To round off the perfect family holiday the summer toboggan run is open daily (weather permitting), activity farms can be visited and on request we can also offer guided nature walks for the whole family.

If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, 40 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 70 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later, 90 percent of all nights will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children from 12 to 15 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.
All older children or adults are charged 70 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.
