Bodenmais and the whole of the Bavarian Forest region provide many opportunities for fun and interesting day trips and leisure activities. Visit the many glassworks, where you can watch the glassblowers right up close, or shop at the many interesting boutique shops where you can pick up all sorts of little goodies.

The towns of Regensburg, Passau, Deggendorf and Landshut can all be easily reached and are worth a visit.
