There are 14 guest rooms in total, all decorated in a classical style and featuring en suite bathrooms. There is also a communal kitchen and lounge area for guests use. There are also a number of self-catering units with 2 separate bedrooms, full kitchen plus living and dining area.

Guests can make use of the property’s beautiful roof top terrace with its stunning views of Table Bay, the Waterfront and Table Mountain. During the summer months, breakfast is served here.

By car:
-Arriving at Cape Town International Airport, follow the N2 in the direction of Cape Town.
-At the De Waal Interchange, continue on the right-hand side of the N2 and follow the Waterfront-signs up the hill (past Groote Schuur Hospital).
-Follow the signs into the city.
-Just before entering the city, take the Strand Street exit on your left-hand side.
-Continue on Strand Street, past Castle of Good Hope on your left.
-Cross Buitengracht Street and continue on Upper Strand Street.
-The 4th street to your right is Loader Street.
-Follow the De Waterkant signs.

Please note: The reception at De Waterkant Lodge closes at 17.30 hours. All keys should be collected before this time wherever possible. Guests due to arrive after this time should contact the hotel prior to their arrival, using the contact details in your confirmation, to arrange check-in. There is an additional fee for an out-of-hours check-in.

Parking is available in the streets around the area, which is patrolled by security guards.

Cancellation PolicyTop
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 31 days before date of arrival, 10 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 11 days before date of arrival, 25 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years are charged ZAR 200.00 per night and person for cots.
All children under 12 years are charged ZAR 350.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: 14 % VAT is included.
Service charge is not applicable.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Continental breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Free public parking is possible at a location nearby.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.
