There are several charming hotels in central Beirut but the Mayflower is one distinctively in a class of its own. Photos:

The completed room renovation, initiated in 2006, combines all amenities and comfort that the modern sophisticated traveller has come to expect while maintaining its authentic style and character.
As the quintessential London pub, The Duke of Wellington conveys an air of timelessness. Built in 1960 it has not changed over the decades. It is more a treasure cove of obscure and amusing artefacts where you can genuinely enjoy a good pint with friends.
Overlooking the downtown skyline, Moon on the Rocks is ideal for watching stunning sunsets over the city while listening to vibrant music and sipping exotic cocktails. This terrace lounge creates a feeling of well-being and is a place to unwind, enjoy a light lunch or traditional afternoon tea.
Traditional English or buffet breakfast is served every day in Louly’s restaurant. Spoil yourself with a sumptuous breakfast in a relaxed basement atmosphere. For lunch, the food is fresh and delicious, and the small proportion of Lebanese regulars ensures a very authentic local style.
The Mayflower provides transfers to and from Beirut International Airport for an additional cost per car per way.
