Built in 1768 on the edge of Great Windsor Park, in June 1801 the Wheatsheaf received a visit from George III, Queen Charlotte and Prince Adolphus.

Today you will find a traditional and charming pub and hotel, with en suite, air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi internet access.

The hotel is just metres from Wentowrth Golf Club which annually plays host to the PGA Tour. Sunningdale Golf Course and Ascot Racecourse are close by. Other local attractions include Windsor Castle, Thorpe Park, Legoland Windsor, the Guards Polo Club and Savill Gardens.

The Magna Carta and JFK Memorials can be found at Runneymede. Twickenham is only a short train journey away.

By Car:
From the north:
- Take the M25.
- Exit at junction 13.
- Follow the A30 towards Bagshot/Camberley.
- Continue for approximately 2.5 miles, passing one set of traffic lights.
- As you approach the next set of lights you will see the hotel on the right-hand side; at these lights you need to turn right to enter the car park.

From the south:
- Take the M3.
- Exit at junction 3.
- Follow signs for the A30 Staines/London.
- Continue on the A30.
- The hotel is situated approximately 1.9 miles past Sunningdale on the left.
- At the traffic lights turn left into the hotel car park.

The hotel has ample on site parking.

By Train:
Virginia Water Train Station is located approximately 2 miles away from the hotel. The station has direct rail links to London Waterloo, taking 30-40 minutes.

By Air:
The hotel is approx 20 minutes away from London Heathrow. The hotel can reached by using the M4 (Westbound) and M25(Southbound) motorways from the airport, follow road directions above 'From the north'.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

All older children or adults are charged GBP 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.
