Girosa
  Girosa is a bed and breakfast set in the historical centre of Caltagirone, right by its most famous landmarks. The hotel is set in the former garden of a convent. The Girosa B&b landlord lay down in a rich frame of traditions and culture. The art of the masters ` cannatari', and the ceramics they produce, constitute the greatest attraction for the tourists. The land, was in origin the garden of the ancient monastery of Stefano Saint, inhabited from the Franciscan nuns. The monastery has been constructed in XVI century, but due to the earthquake that hit Caltagirone in 1693, it was restructured from architect F. Battaglia of Catania, in 1760. Within the monastery, a ceiling with roses decorated with painting exists on wood. In 1946 the master blacksmith Giuseppe Guerrera has acquired part of the land of the abbey and made it his family residence and the center of his own workshop. The building has been restructured and offers hospitality in comfortable rooms furnished with cure.
The rooms are decorated with stylish furniture and each of them boasts a chandelier with ceramic decorations, that match the bathroom's wall lamps.

There are many landmarks to visit in Caltagirone: the Bourbon Prison, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Arts, the International Museum of the Nativity, the Museum of Historical Caltagironesi and Sicilian Villas. The town is also scattered with ceramics shops, and it houses Villa Patti and the communal park with majolica tiles and a famous staircase with 142 steps covered with ceramics.
