The Ca' d'Oro is perhaps the most famous Venetian palazzo of all, after the Doges' Palace. The name is due to the gilt and polychrome external decorations which once adorned its walls. Built between 1428 and 1430 for the Contarini Family, who provided Venice with 8 Doges, the residence is now open to the public as a gallery. |

From Marco Polo International Airport, the hotel may be reached by a private water taxi, which stops in front of the hotel or by a public bus to Piazzale Roma (approximately 30 minutes). From Piazzale Roma, you can then take a private water taxi or the public vaporetto (Line number 1) to Ca’ D’Oro.

- At the traffic lights go straight along the main road and follow the signs for Piazzale Roma.
