For additional freedom, independence and convenience, the resort also offers apartment-style accommodation, offering a great-value alternative to a traditional hotel. Half board, full board and accommodation-only rates are available, allowing complete flexibility and freedom.

Cantiere Navale was founded by Count Gaddo della Gherardesca in 1946. The shipyard was closed twenty years ago, yet it is still remembered with pride for its successful past in rowing. A thorough restoration project has now turned the shipyard into a brand new tourist resort covering a 25-hectare area situated in a unique position right on the coast, by the clear blue waters and surrounded by tranquil lush greenery.

The central building and the surrounding 8 buildings, housing the apartments, the hotel rooms and the suites, are situated amidst sand dunes, maritime pines and typical Mediterranean vegetation.

All of the accommodation is situated on the ground floor or the first or second floor. The rooms are furnished in a clean, simple modern marine style. Most of the rooms have a kitchenette, which guests can use free of charge.

Most room types have a small private patio or balcony, with patio furniture.

Air conditioning is available on request at an additional charge.

The on-site air conditioned restaurant overlooks the sea and has a large veranda from which you can admire the view as you enjoy your food. There is also a bar, a pizzeria and a mini supermarket.

Cantiere Navale is situated in a quiet, peaceful location, surrounded by the natural unspoilt beauty of the countryside around Donoratico.

In the centre of the Etruscan coastline, Donoratico boasts 10 km of beautiful sandy beaches. The clean, crystal-clear waters have been awarded the European Blue Flag for water quality. Thanks to the beaches’ gently sloping sands, they are especially suitable for children, those learning to swim and swimmers lacking in confidence.

The area is a completely unspoilt paradise, carefully preserved and protected, and yet open to all. The lush greenery of the ancient trees, fragrant marine pines, juniper bushes and flowers and shrubs add a touch of seclusion and serenity, as well as offering cool shade.

Please note that there are several additional costs, which must be paid on arrival.

There is 42 Euro additional service charge per person, per week for every guest older than 3 years old. This charge is to cover electricity, water, gas, bed linen and towels ( for formula residence only).
There is 45 Euro additional Club Card charge per person (from 07/06/08 to 13/09/08), per week for every guest older than 5 years old. This charge is to cover a beach umbrella, 2 deck chairs, shuttle bus, entertainment, sports facilities, shows and the mini club ( for both formula residence and hotel)
Air conditioning is available on request, at an additional cost, payable directly to the hotel.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled up to 15 days before date of arrival, 20 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 9 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 4 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
One child under 2 years is charged EUR 35.00 per stay in a baby cot.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: A fixed amount of EUR 150 per room will be charged on the day of arrival and is refundable.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is included.

Internet: No internet access available.

Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 10.00 per person.

Parking: Free private parking is possible on site.
