Barceló Torquay Imperial Hotel
   Built in 1866, this Mediterranean-style resort is perched on a clifftop overlooking Torbay, offering free use of its extensive leisure facilities.With breathtaking views of the English Riviera, from the Barceló Imperial Hotel you can watch the yachts sail by and the sun set on this stunning stretch of coastline. This historical hotel has entertained notable guests including Emperor Napoleon III, the Queen of Holland and King Edward VII. Retaining the charm and character of this majestic riviera hotel, the rooms are classically decorated with traditional furnishings. The rooms are light and airy and include a seating area with easy chairs and coffee table. The traditional en suite bathrooms are the perfect place in which to unwind and relax using the complimentary toiletries. Sea view rooms are available at an additional cost.
The Regatta Restaurant offers panoramic views of Torbay, along with superb cuisine and fine wine. Lighter snacks are available in the Brittania Bar and Conservatory.
The hotel has many attractions within close distance, such as Paignton Zoo, Living Coast, Dartmouth, Babbacombe Model Village and Wet & Wild water park.
From the M5: - Exit at junction 31 onto the A38 and follow signs for Torquay. - Exit for the A380 and follow this road into Torquay. - Once on the seafront road, head left, keeping the sea and then the harbour on your right-hand side. - The hotel is just up the hill from the harbour on the right-hand side of the road.
