Downtown Atlanta offers something for everyone; history buffs enjoy the wide variety of world-class history centers and museums throughout the area; cultural connoisseurs attend a variety of concerts and theatrical performances; families visit zoos and amusement parks; and sports fans choose from baseball, football, basketball and hockey in the Sports Capital of the World. See Exploring Atlanta for more information on Atlanta area activities.
Guests of The Georgian Terrace Hotel are faced with the extensive possibilities that the dynamic city of Atlanta has to offer. Easily accessible by way of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), Atlanta has more restaurants, entertainment venues and cultural attractions than any other city in the Southeast. With a population of almost 4 million people, Atlanta is the 10th largest city in the United States. Atlanta is undisputedly the economic hub of the Southeast, but, as its nickname implies, "Hotlanta" has also emerged as the cultural capital of this region. The city has achieved unparalleled growth in the last 20 years while still maintaining the unique Southern flavor that has been immortalized in the epic film, "Gone With the Wind".
CNN Center is also available for visitors who would like to tour the studios and participate in a live broadcast.
