Nestled on the slopes of Signal Hill and overlooking Table Bay, exclusive DeWaterkant lies in the historical Bo-Kaap area of picturesque Cape Town and was built to house settlers and workers in the 1700's. Today the most fashionable destination in Africa. The philosophy and vision of a real travellers’ village was first realised in De Waterkant. The initial cottages called Harbour View Cottages, Cape Town’s First Guest Street, has now become a village and has grown to over 40 properties.

De Waterkant Village consists of several self-catering houses and apartments. All of the properties are within easy walking distance of the newly built Cape Quarter shopping centre, the city, restaurants, bars and fashionable nightspots.

The Hospitality Village is effectively a resort within a real, authentic living area, populated by locals.

The Villages are a daily celebration of real-life theatre. The Villages are intimate, with all the necessary entertainment and services within walking distance of the properties. Guests are encouraged to feel part of the Villages and to enjoy real hospitality by creating activities to introduce visitors to the locals, their food and their lifestyles.

A centralized reception acts as a service centre, allowing guests all the comforts of a hotel with all the freedom and independence of a private property. Guest services include daily housekeeping, concierge desk and tourist information. As well as friendly professional assistance, the reception desk is also a wireless internet access hotspot.

The housekeeping service operates Monday to Friday. The service is also available on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays for an additional charge. Bed linen and towels are provided in all of the Village properties.

This hospitality concept offers guests a distinctly Cape experience.

During the day, De Waterkant Village is a busy, bustling business area where people work, live and shop. By night, it is a playground bursting with energy and pleasure seekers.

The village's warm charm and friendly character makes guests feel right at home.

Cancellation policyTop
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
One child under 2 years is charged ZAR 60.00 per night and person in a baby cot.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.

Deposit Policy: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged at least 30 days prior to arrival and is refundable.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is included.

Internet: Wired internet is available in the business centre and costs ZAR 30.00 per hour.

Meal Plan: Breakfast is not included and costs ZAR 80.00 per person.

Parking: Public parking is possible at a location nearby and costs ZAR 5.00 per hour.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.
