Built in the 1920's, the hotel is named for one of the finest French Restaurants of that era. Once a playground for the rich and eccentric, it has been home to movie stars, artists, writers and intellectuals.

All guest rooms feature complimentary wireless internet access, accommodating writing desk, two-line phones, digital alarm clocks, voice mail, cable TV and VCR, plush cotton robes and a variety of Gilchrist and Soames bath amenities in our luxurious marble bathrooms.

Each guest room has windows that open and individual air temperature control. Some rooms have unique features such as terraces, kitchenettes or solariums. All rooms are non-smoking.

Newly renovated in 2007, The Monkey Bar & Grill, a legendary New York night spot, is now one of the city's most popular and stylish restaurants. Its inventive American cuisine is also available to hotel guests through room service.

Currently celebrating its 80th anniversary, this legendary bar has been frequented by such luminaries as Tallulah Bankhead, Joe DiMaggio, Tennessee Williams, Marlon Brando and Ava Gardner. The overall ambiance taps into the location's unique history and features executive chef Julian Claus Ehlers array of American and Continental cuisine. Monkey Bar and Grill was voted the No. 1 bar in New York by Gourmet Magazine's latest readers' poll.

Hotel Elysée is now smoke free. Any guest found in violation of the no smoking policy will be fined up to USD 200.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
One child under 17 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding.
One child under 4 years stays free of charge in a baby cot.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

Groups: When booking more than 5 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: 13.875 % Tax is not included.
USD 2.00 service charge per room per night is not included.
USD 1.50 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Continental breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Public parking is possible on site (reservation is not possible) and costs USD 30.00 per day.
