All rooms in the hotel are modern and comfortable with en-suite facilities. All bathrooms are fitted with either shower only or a shower and bath. Many rooms have a large, walk-in shower. Although rooms undergo constant maintenance and updating, original features such as high ceilings and sash windows have been retained. Photos:
El Castano, voted best Tapas Bar in Newcastle 2009 (Lifestyle magazine), is located on the ground floor of the hotel. The popular Spanish restaurant serves a wide range of authentic tapas (10% discount for hotel guests). A short walk from the hotel is the commercial area of Jesmond, with a local supermarket and pharmacy. The city and Metrocentre offer some of the best shopping in the country. The Metro Centre is signposted all the way from the hotel and is around a 20 minute drive. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
