Boship Farm Hotel
   Situated along the a22, the hotel is set in 17 acres of beautiful grounds and retains a pleasant country atmosphere. Extensive car parking and a helipad are in the grounds together with an all-weather tennis court and outdoor heated pool.Among the 'originals' which survive are a magnificent brick fireplace in the hotel's bar, many timber beams and a tunnel built during The Civil War, linking the building with the nearby Michelham Priory. Horse riding, walking and fishing are local activities, while golfers can play at the nearby Horam Golf Club. The hotel is an ideal touring base for the attractions of Sussex - castles, historic houses, gardens, theme parks, children's farms and vineyards - and it is in the heart of the English wine-growing region. The towns of Eastbourne, Brighton and Tunbridge Wells are all within easy reach. Guests are advised that the hotel regularly holds wedding receptions and parties during summer months. We also hold christmas dinner dance parties in our dining room and cannot guarantee guests will not hear the disco noise. |

A lovely old farmhouse dating from 1652 forms the main building of the Boship Farm Hotel. There are 47 bedrooms all en suite,17 acres of gardens,3 function rooms and a non smoking lounge and restaurant. Many original features still remain including the magnificent brick fire place in the Tudor bar with a charles II iron back plate.There is still a tunnel, now closed connecting the hotels cellar with the nearby michelam priory which was thouight to be built in the cavalier and roundhead time of the civil war. All of our rooms are ensuite with colour televisions, direct dial telephone, radio,electric trouser press,hair dryer and courtesy tray.Most bedrooms have views across the countryside. 'Cromwells' non smoking restaurant serves quality dishes made using fresh local produce, prepared and cooked to order. Our chef's are currently serving a variety of their freshly home made breads. Our wine list features an interesting selection from around the world - carefully chosen to complement the excellent cuisine. The Boship Farm Hotel is situated in Lower Dicker,which is a small village. The next town is Hailsham where some shops can be found and is situated 2 miles from the hotel. Eastbourne is the nearest major town, it is a seaside town offering a pier,shopping arcade and many things to do and see. Beachy head is a local sight to see with views over the sea, cliffs and wildlife well worth a visit. The seaside city of Brighton and Hove can be found approx 20 miles from the hotel, which offers a chance to see the cultural side to the South East. Photos:
The Boship Farm Hotel is situated in Lower Dicker on the main a22, London to Eastbourne road. We are located at the junction/roundabout where the a267 from Tunbridge Wells meets the a271 from Hastings join the a22. The junction where the a27 from Brighton meets the a22 at Polegate is 3 miles south.
As part of our ongoing commitment to maintainence we are currently carrying out renovations and modernisations to our bathrooms and bedrooms. The hotel regulary holds wedding reception and dinner dances during seasonal months.The hotel and its staff are not responsible for any disco noise from functions or the behaviour of guests attending functions on the hotel premises. The Establishment does not tolerate verbal or physical abuse to staff members or hotel property and should this occur guests may be asked to vacate the premises.
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 14 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: No internet access available. Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Free public parking is possible on site. Pets: Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.
