Guests can expect comfortable apartments in a fabulous historic setting. The apartments are run on a hotel-style basis with a minimum stay of just one night, meaning they offer a real alternative to a hotel. The apartments offer 3-star accommodation at great-value rates, with all the freedom and flexibility of your own apartment in the centre of Edinburgh’s old town.

Please note that the apartments are located in historical buildings, and that there is no lift. Due to the layout of the city, guests may be required to climb a number of steps to reach their accommodation Guests who have mobility problems are kindly asked to inform us of this when booking.

Complimentary luggage storage is available prior to check-in. Storage is also available on the day of departure at an additional cost.

The apartments do not have their own parking facilities. Guests can park at one of the nearby NCP public car parks, which offer secure parking at an additional cost, with daily charges applying.

Each apartment is decorated in its own unique style. All of the bedrooms have comfortable beds and bed linen and towels are provided. Bathrooms are private and fitted with a bath and powerful shower.

The fully fitted kitchens are well equipped with everything you need in order to be your own chef, including cooking utensils, toasters and ovens.

Every apartment has a comfortable lounge with a TV and DVD player. Many apartments have additional futon beds for extra guests.

Apartments are serviced on a weekly basis, with fresh linen and towels provided once a week. Additional servicing can be arranged at extra cost.

Because of the apartments’ central location in the heart of Edinburgh, there can be some noise.

The Castle Apartments are perfect for families and couples, looking to make the most of their time in Edinburgh. You couldn’t be more central and the apartments provide a great base for all of the city's attractions, keeping all members of the family entertained. The apartments’ excellent location provides easy access to everything that this magnificent city has to offer, including many of the city’s major festival venues. Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Princes Street and the famous Scottish Parliament building are just some of the attractions that are on your doorstep.

Princes Street, Edinburgh's main shopping district, is just a very short walk away. Princes Street also offers galleries and museums to explore, including the National Gallery of Scotland, which houses art from Renaissance to Post-impressionist periods. Wander through Princes Street gardens, and visit the various surrounding bars and restaurants.

The Palace of Holyrood House is also within easy walking distance.

Edinburgh Waverley train station is just a short stroll away, meaning the apartments are conveniently located for your arrival.

Other attractions in the surrounding area include Greyfriars Bobby, the Walter Scot Monument, John Knox House, Dynamic Earth and Edinburgh Dungeons.

From Edinburgh Airport to Queen Street:
- Exit Edinburgh Airport on to East Field Road.
- Follow signs for the city centre/ Edinburgh zoo.
- Go through Eastfield Road and turn left onto the A8.
- Enter into Edinburgh carrying on Glasgow Road (A8).
- Go through the Drumbrae roundabout and onto Saint John's Road (A8).
- This will become Corstorphine Road (A8).
- Turn right on the Roseburn Terrace (A8).
- Carry onto West Coates, which becomes Haymarket Terrace (A8).
- Turn left into Haymarket (A8) and carry on West Maitland Street.
- This becomes Shandwick Place (A8) which becomes Princes Street.
- Turn left onto South Charlotte Street (A90) which becomes Charlotte Square and then North Charlotte Street.
- Turn right onto Albyn Place, and turn left into Queen Street.
- We are at number 6 Queen Street (opposite end) on the right-hand side, next to the Jam House.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport for approximately 20 GBP or take the air link bus for 5 GBP return.

The airport bus departs every 15 minutes. Guests must disembark at the Waverly Bridge terminus (opposite Waverly Station). Reception and key collection is approximately a 7 to 10-minute walk from here.

All guests need to check-in at 6 Queen Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1JE. Once they have checked-in, guests will be given keys and directions to their apartments.

If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
