The Gladwyn has ten comfortable en suite rooms which have all been refurbished and redecorated using unique themes and imaginative colours. You will also find some very nice original art work around the building. We have a family room so families are more than welcome and well behaved pets are invited to accompany their owners. Our public areas are all wi fi enabled (at no additional charge) so you can even bring your laptop.

The Gladwyn is ideally situated opposite Devonshire Park and just around the corner from the Devonshire Theatre, the Congress Theatre, the Winter Gardens and the new arts centre. The Gladwyn is a short walk to the town's shops and the beach.

The Gladwyn is ideally situated for a variety of local attractions including parks, gardens, museums, art galleries and the beach with its sweeping sea front and 3-tier promenade. The pier, dating back to the 1870s and featuring £2.5 million worth of illuminations, is complemented by the Sovereign Harbour which has been turned into one of the most up to date marinas in Europe.

The coastline is an area of outstanding beauty and the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head include a walkers route along the cliff tops. Close by are the charming villages of Alfriston, Wilmington and East Dean as well as Drusillas Zoo, Polegate Windmill, Michelham Priory, Pevensey Castle, Newhaven Fort and the resorts of Brighton and Hastings.

On Foot:
From the seafront, proceed down Lascelles Terrace (next to the TGWU building) past the Devonshire Park Theatre into Hardwick Road, then left into Blackwater Road, where the hotel is situated on the right-hand side, opposite the International Lawn Tennis Centre.

From the Tourist Information Centre, proceed along Cornfield Road into Cornfield Terrace and take the 1st turning right into Blackwater Road where the hotel is situated on the right-hand side opposite the International Lawn Tennis Centre.

From the railway station, proceed up Gildredge Road and left into South Street. Then turn immediately right into Spencer Street and left into Blackwater Road, where the hotel is situated on the left-hand side opposite the International Lawn Tennis Centre.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
