Built in 1652, this inn was originally leased to the Beaufort family for 6p per annum for 1000 years. It has since been lovingly restored and is currently the holder of a number of awards, including the Good Pub Guide 2005 Gloucestershire County Dining Pub of the Year.

The drawing room is available for functions, and can hold up to 28 guests. A personalised menu is possible.

The restaurant serves a variety of traditional English meals, including fresh game specialities. A varying selection of specials is available each day. The bar serves both wine and an excellent selection of regularly rotated real ales.

Westonbirt Arboretum (5 km) - Containing 18,000 trees from all over the world. Planted between 1829 and the present day, they are situated within 600 acres of beautifully landscaped Cotswold countryside.

Chavenage (8 km) - This historic Elizabethan house, enables visitors to see its tapestry rooms, furniture and relics of the Cromwellian period.

Owlpen Manor (9.5 km) - This romantic Tudor manor is the occupied medieval manor home of the de Olepennes. It dates from 1450 to 1616, with minor early 18th century improvements.

- Exit the M5 at Junction 13.
- Take the A419 into Stroud.
- Follow the signs for the A46 South towards Bath.
- Follow the A46 to the A433, sign posted to Cirencester, and turn left.
- Follow the A433 for approximately 3 km into the village of Didmarton.
- The Kings Arms Inn is on the left.

From the south
- Exit the M4 motorway Junction 18.
- Follow the A46 towards Stroud
- Exit at the A433, sign posted to Cirencester, and turn right.
- Follow the A433 for approximately 3 km into the village of Didmarton.
- The Kings Arms Inn is on the left.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
