Myndos Gate (100 m)- large portions of this ancient gate remain intact, dating back to 364 BC. Mausoleum of Halicarnassus (2.5 km) - a wonder of the ancient world, completed around 350 BC and largely destroyed by an earthquake in 1304, these fascinating ruins are an essential visit. Bodrum Castle (3 km) - the castle of St. Peter is an impressive example of medieval architecture.
