The lodge offers newly refurbished 4-star boutique accommodation with 48 rooms located on the banks of the River Lee in the heart of Cork City Centre. 5 minutes walk from the University College and St. Patrick Street, as well as shops, restaurants, galleries and museums. Cork was the European Capital of Culture for 2005, and as such it displays some beautiful and unique sights, including: The church tower of Shandon - Dominating the North side of the city. It is known by locals as The Four-Faced Liar, as from the base of the building, each clock face appears to show a different time. Shandon is accessible to the public, and the bells may be rung by visitors. St. Patrick Street - The main shopping street. Remodelled in the years up to 2004, it boasts striking buildings along its broad avenue. County Hall Tower - The tallest building in the Republic of Ireland.
