CenterHotel Thingholt is a brand new hotel located in Reykjavík’s city centre, housed in a renovated printing factory. At CenterHotel Thingholt there’s a strong focus on quality modern design inspired by Icelandic nature.

Inside you will find original and unique modern art by Icelandic artists. Currently, the hotel has commissioned local artists to create individual pieces for each of the rooms, making each one unique.

During your stay you will be treated to a friendly and personalised service and are assured of serene and restful accommodation in a refined atmosphere.

Restaurant Domo is located on the ground floor of the hotel. Domo specializes in Asian-European fusion cuisine.
The hotel has 3 bars:

- one in the hotel's lobby where you can have coffee 24/7
- one in the basement of the Domo Restaurant where there is regular live music and a dance floor.
- there's also a bar on the ground floor of the restaurant

The design of the rooms is modern, yet classic, where natural materials and colours are used.

Some rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor have excellent views over the city centre, the harbour, the bay and nearby mountains.

Located next to Reykjavik’s main shopping street, Laugavegur, the hotel offers an ideal location for exploring the historic centre; shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, nightlife and main attractions can all be found within easy walking distance.

Within 500 m of the hotel the following attractions can be found:

- The old harbour where you can go on a whale watching trip (April-October).

- The flea market, Kolaportið, open Saturdays and Sundays.

- Hallgrímskirkja church, one of Reykjavík’s most famous landmarks. You can climb up to the church tower and enjoy a spectacular view of the city.

- The Culture House, which houses Iceland’s Medieval Manuscripts, amongst other artefacts.

Within 3 km of the hotel the following attractions can be found:

- The National Museum.

- The Pearl - one of Reykjavík’s landmark, where you can get a great view over the city, visit the Saga Museum and dine at the revolving restaurant at the top.

- Kringlan shopping centre, with over 60 shops.

CenterHotel Thingholt can be reached by car, Flybus or taxi from Keflavik International Airport (45 km).

By car:

From Keflavik International Airport:
- from the airport, take the first right at the roundabout
- continue in the direction of Hafnarfjörður
- follow signs for Reykjavík
- join the coast road Saebraut
- follow Saebraut until you arrive in Reykjavík’s city centre, where Saebraut changes its name into Kalkofnsvegur
- at the traffic lights turn left into Laekjargata
- turn left onto Bókhlöðustígur
- take the first turning on the right and you will be on Thingholtsstraeti (written Þingholtsstræti in Icelandic) where CenterHotel Thingholt is, number 3-5 in 2 buildings, one grey and the other white.

Flybus information from Keflavik International Airport:
The Flybus offers a very convenient transportation service from Keflavik International Airport to the hotel and back. It operates in connection with all arriving flights. You will find it immediately on your right when you leave the airport building. The Flybus takes passengers to the bus terminal in Reykjavík. From there passengers are taken to the hotels in Reykjavík in smaller busses. Just tell the driver that you are going to CenterHotel Thingholt. When you go back, just let reception know the day before your flight at what time it is and they will figure out which Flybus departure would be best for you. The Flybus picks up at the hotel, brings you to the bus terminal where you switch to a bigger bus and then takes you to the airport.
The price is 1200 ISK per person one way.

Taxi information from Keflavik International Airport:
Taxis are available right outside the airport building. The rate for a taxi from the airport to Reykjavík is approximately 8500 ISK for a single journey. For the trip back to the airport a taxi can be booked from CenterHotel Thingholt’s reception.

Rates quoted are in EUR on our website. Upon check out at the hotel, charges will be in ISK and exchange rate from EUR to ISK will be the daily exchange rate.

Please note that in case you are settling your hotel bill in local currency or by credit card there might be a difference in the room rate due to the currency exchange rate changes.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 3 years stay free of charge for cots.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: No parking available.
