Hotel Hafnarfjordur is located in Hafnarfjordur, Reykjavik's capital area.

Hafnarfjordur is Iceland´s third biggest community. It takes its name (meaning Harbour-fjord) from the area´s excellent natural harbour. The town has its own culture and entertainment, hosts annual Viking festivals, Bright Days festival and the Christmas Village.

Built on lava fields, the town is famous for it's hidden elves and mystical beings, thought to inhabit the unique cliffs and rock formations. Guided tours frequent in these areas to prove the myth right or wrong.

Hotel Hafnarfjordur is located in a business area but very close by is a swimming pool, golf course and the harbour. You can also go horseback riding and, of course, visit the elves

Public transportaion to the city centre is within walking distance, and in summer 2007 the Fly Bus will stop there as well.

From Keflavik International Airport:
- take the main road to Reykjavik
- after about 35 minutes you come to the Reykjavik Capital Area, Hafnarfjordur
- at the first roundabout (traffic circle) keep on straight
- at the traffic lights, keep on straight on Fjardarhraun
- the second roundabout (traffic circle) has 5 roads entering it - take the 3rd exit, again on Fjardarhraun.
- take second street on your left, Stakkahraun
- keep on this road to the end.
The hotel is on the right hand side, on the corner of Stakkahraun and Reykjavikurvegur.

In spring 2007, the new red reception tower will be ready - a symbol that can’t be missed.

By bus:
The fly bus will take you to the hotel from the airport. Tell the driver where you want to go.

Payment is required at arrival.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged ISK 4430.00 per night and person for extra beds.
