In 2001 we created 2 holiday apartments and 3 comfort double rooms from our building's former hayloft. Each room offers a wonderful view of the Kahlen Asten mountain, the forests of the Sauerland and the Lenne valley.

Within the main part of the building we offer four simple double rooms. We also provide a restaurant, the "Glockenschenke" pub, a timber-framed café room and a grill hut.

The spacious apartment "Schwalbennest" is located in the converted loft of the old farmhouse and is suitable for allergy sufferers. It includes a large balcony offering a view of the Sauerland mountainscape.

The apartment "Kräuterwiese" on the lower floor is suitable for the mobility impaired. It features 2 bedrooms and a large terrace.

In our restaurant we prepare predominantly regional and seasonal dishes. From roasted wild boar and baked Sauerland trout to pancake and potato dishes - here you can enjoy fresh, creative, down-to-earth cuisine.

Next to the main building you find a traditional grill hut, which was originally the coach house of the former farm. In the summer we host grill parties here at weekends, while in winter the quaint hut with open fireplace provides the perfect setting for après-ski celebrations or a place in which exhausted winter sports fans can warm up.

Right in front of the grill hut you find a beer garden with a wonderful view of the Sauerland highlands.

Leave your everyday cares behind you as you hike along the well-marked, extensive trails surrounding the Kahler Asten.

Several attractive day trip destinations are available in the surrounding area. In the village of Westfeld with its timber-framed buildings, you can marvel at the old Sauerland architecture, while Bad Berleburg is home to a castle which you can visit. Our younger guests will enjoy a trip to the leisure park "Fort Fun", the "Panoramapark" or the indoor go-karting track in Neuastenberg. During the winter, Lenneplätze is the ideal location for Alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Due to the altitude (784 metres above sea level), the town receives snow before many other resorts. Located just 600 metres from the Postwiesen-skigebiet ski resort in Neuastenberg, our guesthouse provides the ideal base for all winter sports fans. Cross-country ski tracks begin right behind the guesthouse.

The hotel is located about 6 kilometres from the city Winterberg and about 1 kilometre from "Kahlen Asten" mountain. Drive towards Neuastenberg and then follow the signs.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
One child under 12 years is charged EUR 7.50 per night in an extra bed.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
EUR 1.30 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Free public parking is possible on site.

Pets: Pets are allowed on request. Charges may be applicable.
