The rose is something of a motif here at Roseneck. You will fing roses in the garden, the interior decoration and even on the restaurant menu.

The familial ambiance of the hotel and the excellent restaurant make for a great stay where you can relax and unwind and forget the hustle and bustle of daily life.

We can organise for you to have your breakfast in the forest above the Wallen cliffs in the romantic castle chapel.

Our restaurant has received the silver award by the Bavarian restaurant association. The chef offers modern German dishes as well as regional and seasonal dishes with local produce.

We also have the special Rose dishes on our menu - a real culinary experience.

It will be open daily from 11:00 but closed on Tuesdays. The beer garden in front of our hotel invites you to relax outdoors during warmer weather.

The Frankenwald, with its forests and meadows is one of the most beautiful areas in the heart of Germany. Experience nature and the Frankenweg where you can go hiking, Nordic Walking or mountain biking.

Many hiking paths start directly in front of the house and with the GPS equipment that we rent to our guests you can explore the most beautiful corners of the Frankenwald forest.

An adventure for the whole family is the raft trip on the wild river Rodach.

Visit the towns Kronach, Bayreuth and Coburg with wonderful castles and churches or the world heritage city Bamberg, the brewery in Kulmbach or the summer toboggan run in Kronach. You can also go on a boat trip and see the Saaletalsperre (barrier of the river Saale).

Wallenfels is located in the northernmost area of Bavaria, in Oberfranken (Upper Franconia), approximately 30 kilometres west from the A9 / exit Naila.

Arriving via the A9:
- Take the exit Naila and change to the B173
- After Naila, the main road leads through Rodach Valley and directly to Wallenfels

Arriving from the South:
- Take the A70 and at Bamberg junction continue towards Lichtenfels
- The B173 leads you on towards Kronach
- In Kronach, stay on the B173 and head towards the A9
- Travel through Naila and then on to Wallenfels

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All children from 6 to 14 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in public areas and charges are applicable.

Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Free private parking is possible at a location nearby.
