  The "Smes-Hof" is a place of cosiness, with modern apartments, holiday homes and rooms, in the middle of the Lüneburger Heide National Park. Other information
The guesthouse is situated on the site of a former farmyard. The name "Smes-Hof" relates to its historical background, as from 1643 until 1854 it served as the town's blacksmith's. Photos:
The majority of the guesthouse is located in the main original thatched building and provides modern rooms with shower/WC and TV reception, and some rooms are also fitted safe and hairdryer. The rooms are predominantly non-smoking. Photos:
Our restaurant serves regional meals including game, lamb from the local "Heidschnucke" moorland sheep, duck and fish dishes. On request, half-board accommodation (evening dinner) can be added to your booking, and depending on the number of guests can take the form of a 3-course menu or a cold and warm buffet: EUR 12,50 per person per day.
The "Smes-Hof" in Underloh lies in the middle of the Lüneburger Heide National Park. It takes just 5 minutes to reach the open moorland from the buildling. Our trips over the moors in a horse-drawn carriage are quite an experience. Riding opportunities and limited lodging for horses are available. Keen swimmers need only travel 7 km in order to get to a swimming pool.
By car: - From the A7, take the exit Egestorf. Drive through Egestorf, Schätzendorf, Undeloh and Wesel (14 km). - From the A1, take the exit Sittensen and drive through Tostedt towards Welle. - From the B3 (Welle) drive through Handeloh, Inzmühlen and Wesel (12 km). Hire of hotel bicycles: from EUR 4 per day. Hire of hotel horse boxes: EUR 10 per day incl. fodder and access to pastures.
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, 70 percent of all nights will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. Baby cots are not available. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included.
