Munich is a cosmopolitan city and a cultural and shopping mecca. The highlights of Munich's calendar are the beer swilling Oktoberfest and Christmas, when the traditional markets are filled with festive foods and gifts. The hotel is ideally situated for shopping. Neuhauser Street has a wide variety of well-known chain stores as well as numerous antique shops, and the Deutsches Museum is only a ten minute tram ride away. In the evenings, you can walk around the famous Marienplatz. Alte & Neue Pinakothek are also nearby.
