Founded in 777, the abbey houses an art collection (Tassilo Chalice), an observatory and a library.

Forum Hall:
The Museum of Bad Hall houses a unique craftsman's museum and a local history museum, open from 31 March to 01 November.

Theatre:
Bad Hall city theatre (2008: The White Horse Inn, Man of La Mancha).

Several times a week guided walking tours take place and inform you about Bad Hall.

Interesting cities not far away include the historic town of Steyr and Linz, the capital of Upper Austria and Cultural Capital of Europe in 2009.
